GOFA week pictureHenry Sibley High School's annual fundraising week, called Give One For All (GOFA), raised $16,000 and collected 200 personal care items this year for four area charities:

Cornerstone, a social-service agency that provides support for adults and children who have experienced domestic violence;
   - SG3 Foundation, a nonprofit established to honor the life of Sam Gottfredsen through his passion for hockey, is dedicated to enriching the lives of hockey players by providing scholarships, support and engagement for players on the youth and junior levels;
   - Canine Inspired Changenonprofit organization dedicated to giving vulnerable youth the social-emotional tools they need to be active participants in their schools—and their communities;
   - Haiti Outreachnonprofit organization focused on community initiated development projects in rural Haiti communities, primarily in increasing sustainable access to clean water.

Henry Sibley has hosted GOFA week for more than 50 years. The events during GOFA are planned and managed by Henry Sibley’s Student Council.

Together, the Student Council members determined which organizations would receive the proceeds of GOFA after reviewing applications, evaluating the applicants’ causes and voting. The Student Council then organized fun activities and events that raised money through the participation of students, school staff and community members.
